“No one has ever become poor by giving.”
Daan Utsav is a festival which takes place every year. So this year we participated in it in collaboration with Bhumi Organization. At Pune, we collaborated with them for the Book Donation Drive. This was our first time to work with an another NGO. The drive took place at FC Road, Baner and Camp on 2nd and 8th of October 2022.
We got a good response from donors. Around 300 books related to history, politics, fiction etc were collected. Kitabwaari volunteers were present at all the three places. This drive helped us to reach a different audience. We shared the mission of Kitabwaari with them and they also supported the idea. These collected books will be used to build up libraries in rural areas and help the underprivileged people to get the access of knowledge.
